Letter from Ms Driver 3rd April 2020

Hello everyone
Well here we are at the official end of the spring term and the start of the Easter break.  None of us would have envisaged such a strange end of term but I do hope you are keeping your spirits up and having some (safe) time outside enjoying the lovely spring weather.  It’s been super to see a few of you in Compton Street over the last few days – from a safe distance of course! Thank you to those of you who have sent in photos of what you’ve been up to as well – it has been brilliant for us to see your faces and how inventive some of you have been with your activities.  Here in school, Mrs Cooke, Miss Carter, Mrs Fisher, Mrs Cruickshank and I are really enjoying spending time with the children coming in regularly.  There are some photos of what we’ve been doing on the website in the ‘Parents’ – ‘Newsletters’ section.  Spot the Joe Wicks session going on!!
I do hope that you are able to enjoy the Easter weekend when it comes – it looks as if the weather’s going to be good at least.   I will be in touch again during the week beginning 13th April to give you information about about our plans for home learning after the holidays, including (fingers crossed)  how to access them via Google Classrooms.
In the meantime, stay safe and well and look after each other.
Best wishes
Allison Driver
