Compton All Saints Church of England Primary School

Champions of Compton

What is a Champion of Compton?

Compton School has been serving the families of Compton, Shawford and surrounding areas since 1838. We have always taken our role as a member of the community seriously and we would like to build on this tradition by strengthening our partnerships and friendships even further.  To help us do this, we warmly invite you to become a Champion of Compton All Saints CofE Primary School.

Maybe you already have a connection with the school; maybe you were a pupil here yourself or have family members who will attend, do attend or have attended. We are proud of the hard work of the staff and pupils at the school and cherish the values that it represents: Love, Courage and Respect. As a small school, one of its greatest strengths is its sense of community. We hope to continue to be at the heart of the community for at least another 200 years.

Champions of Compton School are people and organisations that share this desire and support this commitment.

What is the benefit of becoming a Champion of Compton?

Becoming a Champion of Compton is about strengthening the links with members of our community. Your support through volunteering or donations would contribute meaningfully to supporting our vision:

'At Compton All Saints’ Primary School everyone feels welcome, safe and loved. We are respectful to each other and courageous in our learning. As a result, children thrive; they embrace learning, strive to achieve their potential and are equipped with the skills to become independent life-long learners.'

In gratitude of your support, as a Champion of Compton you would:

  • receive regular school newsletters
  • be invited to an annual Champions of Compton event
  • be invited to participate in special school events, such as school-led church services, annual nativity and carol services, school productions and other shows

Our annual community events such as the Summer Fete and Christmas Fayre are well supported and attended, and we would welcome you very warmly to both as supporters of the school.

Why do we need your support?

We pride ourselves on being a family school at the heart of the community. However, due to ever decreasing school budgets, we find ourselves in the position of having to generate and raise our own funds to continue to provide our consistently high levels of education and service to the community.

Compton School Association, run by our parents, do a fantastic job of fundraising for our school and have contributed so much, providing new technology, new equipment and new opportunities for our pupils.

Our ambition is to raise an additional £30,000 a year to ensure our children receive the highest standard of education, are provided with excellent enrichment opportunities and to ensure Compton All Saints CofE Primary School maintains its place as  the school of choice for parents in the area.

We would be grateful for any donation you could make. To make a donation via the Compton School Association (a registered charity), please click here:

Equally, you may wish to support the school by volunteering in some way. You may be able to help us with a project (such as gardening) or would like to become a regular reader with our children.

We welcome, and value, all contributions to supporting our vision for the school.  Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
